It's too late...
One day, a manager of a certain interior design company happened to pass by a certain street, where he chanced upon an empty shophouse unit with some men inside, evidently discussing about its renovation.
Upon returning to his office, he instructed his subordinates to go there in their free time to ask about a possible renovation job.
So two of the guys whom the manager had given instructions to had, during their lunch break, deliberately gone to that same street, both for lunch and a chance to look at that unit the manager had mentioned, though they did so separately.
Upon passing by the said shophouse unit, the first guy thought, "I'll explore my opportunities after lunch." And so he went on to a nearby eatery to settle his meal.
The second guy, upon seeing the unit, went straight into the shop and, within 45minutes, struck a deal with the men inside.
The first guy, upon returning to the scene, sighed, "Damn it! Blame it on my bad luck; I'm only a lunch apart from closing that deal!"
-sometimes i feel like the first guy...
