thnks fr th mmrs.
one night and one more time...
how time flies. it's just another 5 months before we are all out of hc - guys in the army, gals working/having fun travelling/mugging for uni admission tests. it's still vivid in my mind, orientation, cny, fribsee, badminton... and most recently, our little snj (seniors and juniors) bbq at my place. it's nice thinking about the past and the memories that have amassed...
aaron was asking me to describe the bbq to him today. when i failed to give an (exciting) account, he said that i was 'sian'. but really, aaron, words cannot fully express all the emotions...
it's something that you've gotta experience for yourself. second-hand accounts hardly bring the atmosphere to you. although it was just a simple bbq (the only pre-bbq events were pkmn cards, cos the tennis court was already in use by others), it meant a lot to many of us. for one, it's the first time we actually had the prcs with us without any pressure of tradition (by this, i mean, having to fulfill the stj and jts 'requirements'). they were really nice, tending to the fire all the time, turning out consistently tasty food and being very engaging throughout. we don't get to see one another often, as it is. all the more we should treasure it, shouldn't we?
besides, it's probably our last outing as seniors/juniors-in-jc. although it was a rather dismal turnout for the junior class, i really appreciated those who bothered (i use this word, because i do admit that bedok is not the most accessible of places) to travel all the way, just for dinner. it was extremely pleasurable to talk to you guys and crap about everything under the moon, from kx's stay in hobart to the imba-ness of ongzy's and my roasted marshmallows! keep the spirit high, we still have 5 more months to make good use of ;)
sometimes, we have to make a choice. either cca or studies. either cca or class. either gal or family. strive for greater heights, or maintain status quo. the world is harsh and brutal; there's rarely any chance for a person to have both worlds. for one experience, you will have to give up other equally enriching experiences... it's just a way of life. ultimately, choices maketh the man - you live for your right choices and with the not-very-right ones...
even though they weren't so great...
