fribsee finals

before going on to talk abt today's games, i just wanna say "a job well done" to all the guys and gals who made our 3rd position a reality! joey (though she couldn't play today), q2 (whom i couldn't contact the whole afternoon), yifan (for supporting us today and playing yesterday), ongzy (for playing yesterday and being on the receiving end of a fast-moving fribsee :/), cy (for the long-range fribsee launches), ys (the seeker), and last but not least, aaron the captain! of course we have gotta thank alicia and rebecca from 71 (for being our unfortunate substitutes today :P) !

for the first game, we were up against a11. it was a tough fight, but we managed to win 5-2!

then, we had to play against 72. we had 7 people. they had around 16 people. but we began to create a greater margin with every passing minute, despite all the tough and rough defence put up by them... then mr r stopped us a few minutes before the end of the game to "settle" our substitution disputes. it was pretty weird to do such a thing at such a time, but i suppose desperate situations call for desperate measures? it was a moment of disappointment. but it's not a minute of defeat. we conceded this round and the 2 remaining matches were 72 vs 60 (60 emerges victorious 12-1! ki people rox :D) and 75 vs 7e (friendly match with plenty of "apollo whoosh" between both teams, lol). we took home 3rd place, while our fellow apolloians took 4th place. in the end, apollo emerged (should emerge... dunno whether pe department will screw things up more) with more points than any other faculty in the competition! yay!

hear our class being announced over the pa! woot! for something non-science/math-related for the first time!

great work, guys and gals! we can all celebrate some weekend - with more frisbee >.<>.<
