disappointment.
i suppose what ongzy wrote bears some truth... i don't think most of us are quite happy with the fact that there are people in our class who can't be bothered with showing basic courtesy and are more concerned with some math, chemistry or physics problem.. perhaps that is the result of cultivating so-called talents. talents who have high iq but low eq. so what if we produce some genius? if that person cannot even treat fellow human beings as people worthy of basic respect and goes on stepping on others' feet (no pun intended with regard to qq's incident), that person is a destined failure.
as for the general lack of chivalry in the college, i can't help but agree... i mean, the only truly chivalrous person i have seen around is victor? girls in the college just think that guys from the other side of the institution are complete jerks who sit on the benches and do not give a hoot about the girls standing around them, and slam the doors in their faces. and some tchs people actually live up to these "negative reputations" and do the very things that are a bane to a gentleman's existence. in the end, we have the tchs stereotype - selfish, ungentlemanly, barbaric, arrogant...
even after 7 months, some people still do not change their attitudes towards the opposite sex. and for guys like xzl who stay in the boarding school and are exposed to girls more often than the local guys, it's quite puzzling why they cannot treat girls the same way we do. that is, giving them the basic respect and performing the duties of a gentleman...
ongzy's blog title evokes a lot of thoughts in my mind. haha, but then i managed to see the tv ad for the album, so ya...
anw jiayou for promos! aaron thinks i'm giving him peer pressure to study :P lol. that's random... but ya, see you all next week and remember to reflect on the happenings in the past week...
